As we enter the second half of June, the financial world shifts its focus to the upcoming Federal Open Market Committee meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, followed by a conference call on Wednesday when the meeting's announcement will be made. I expect no change in interest rates at this meeting, as the Federal Reserve continues to uphold its data-driven rhetoric while awaiting the full impact of recent economic developments. Interestingly, the tariffs many anticipated would drive inflation higher have not had that effect – in fact, inflation has been trending downward over the past few months since the tariffs were implemented.
